SLOTH

Sloth is perhaps the hardest sin to pin down. It is a profound laziness of the body and mind.

This portrayal isn't inspired by any historical figure, as the nature of sloth resists the making of any remarkable legacy. Instead, the piece features a woman lying down. She notices the light streaming in from outside but makes no attempt to reach it, nor does she show any interest in the grapes - both symbols of motivation that fail to stir her into action.
